Resources to Help You Set Goals for the New Year

The summer months are dwindling down (unfortunately) and that means planning for the new school year is kicking into high gear.

So we wanted to provide you with some resources to help you set goals in order to make this the best year ever!

Setting goals is important to measuring and achieving success. There are many types of goals, including the SMART goals that we learned about at #Fulton15 (Specific, Measurable, Attainable, Realistic and Timely).

Want to know 4 ways that writing down your goals can help you?

Clarity – Writing down your goals helps you choose something specific to focus on.

Motivation – Writing your goals and reviewing them regularly always keeps your goals at the forefront of your mind. This way, you can make sure you are continuously working towards where you want to be.

Concentration – If your goals are specific it can help you remain focused on the task at hand. This way you don’t get distracted!

Achievement – If your goals are written down you can see when you are making progress towards accomplishing them. They will also serve to let you know how much further you have until you accomplish them.

Your goals can be about student council, school, sports, college, the list goes on and on. The important thing is that you set goals, write them down, and refer to them throughout the year.

In addition to two awesome goal list printables, we’ve also created a bucket list printable. Here you can write down things you want to do, try and see this year. And if you don’t accomplish them all this school year, the good news is that there is still plenty of time to check them off the list!

You can download the goal lists and bucket list that we have created here in order to help you get started on making this an epic year.

Don’t forget to share your goal lists with us on Twitter and Instagram (@MASCstuco). We want to see your inspiring lists!
